To further ensure business rigour is applied to research and development, Scott Bader has put in place a Business Development team that sits within the R&D department. The R&D BD team scope novel technologies and applications and are integrated in the development team to focus product development.

At Scott Bader, our history with water based products highlights our longstanding commitment to environmental issues. Significant resources are dedicated to developing new and improved products to minimise environmental impact. These technologies include replacing solvent based resins with technically equivalent water based alternatives to lower free monomer products and products based on sustainable raw materials.

The Global Research and Development team have technical laboratories located in Dubai, South Africa, US, France, Croatia and at the UK HQ. Global R&D is coordinated from the recently built Ernest Bader Technical Centre in the UK, which has allowed us to develop products and services in a number of areas. Our technical teams also work closely with leading UK & International universities on cutting edge technology development projects.
